Building a Stronger Community Through Commodities
Stockbridge Community Outreach is a designated "Distribution Site" for the Commodity Food Programs.
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of income-eligible persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diet with nutritious USDA foods. USDA distributes both food and administrative funds to participating states and Indian Tribal Organizations to operate CSFP. CSFP income guidelines are established at the federal level to 130% of the federal poverty level.

You must show proof of residency in Ingham County and they will assist you in completing the forms with income verification for eligibility.

There are 2 programs: (CFSP) Senior commodities is distributed monthly (1st Friday of every month from 1-2pm) for individuals over age 60 who provide proof of income eligibility, and (TEFAP) the Quarterly Food Program for any household meeting the income guidelines established for their family size distributed 4 times per year. (1st Friday of the 4 designated months)
